30 Percent Rental Assistance In Small Towns For Low Income

Rental Assistance Subsidies

If you live in a multi-family building in a rural area or town of up to 10,000 population, the federal RHS offers rental assistance.

The Department of Agriculture Rural Housing Service offers 30 percent rental assistance subsidies to ensure that elderly, disabled, and low-income residents of multi-family housing complexes, financed by RHS, are able to afford rent payments.

Some communities of between 10,000 to 20,000 populations may be eligible.

If you qualify with the help of the Rural Assistance Program, you’ll pay no more than 30 percent of your income for housing.

Residents of multi-family housing complexes, built under the Rural Rental Housing Program, are eligible for the Rental Assistance Program.

For information, contact the Rural Development Office in your state.
