Rationing Is Coming: Food And Freedom Are Becoming Scare!

Most of us just buy our food from the closest supermarket, but there are ways to save money on food if you start a pandemic food buying club.

It requires planning and effort.

You can buy fresh vegetables from the produce market in the nearest city or better yet directly from farmers.

You can buy a side of beef or pork from a meat packing house much cheaper than from the supermarket.

You will need someone to cut it up for you or you can learn.

Some saws and other equipment is involved, but most meat cutters in big cities are union and highly paid.

You can beat the price.

Some meat packers will cut to order for a small fee.

If you know someone who sell meat wholesale, make a deal to supply your customers.

Any bakery will give you day old cakes, rolls and bread.

It might help if you explained that the food was going to needy people.

You Need Food, Don’t You?

First, advertise in classified sections of local newspapers and on community bulletin boards.

Passing out flyers listing your club’s services, the fee to join and a price list to shoppers on Friday and Saturday at busy supermarkets will help you get started.

You should mark up what you buy maybe 10% to 15% to cover waste and your labor.

Try to sub-let part of a warehouse or industrial building since many have closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Require your members to pay cash on delivery.

They can call in their orders once a week by phone; so you will know what to buy.

It sounds like a lot of effort and it is, but you can save 30% to 50% on your food bill and make a living at the same time.
